 Before you start troubleshooting, please check the following:

1. Connection: Wired or wireless
2. Modem & router name (if possible) model number as well
3. LED(Light emitting Diode) status on modem & router (Whether blinking, stable or off)
4. Error message (i.e. Page cannot be displayed), tried any other browser or no
5. Any other computer on which you are able to go online.


Troubleshooting:

1. Turn off modem, router & computer then start the devices in following way:
i. Modem, ii. Router, iii. Computer (make sure all cables are
connected firmly) if problem still persists then go to next step

2. CMD>ipconfig , note down IP address & getway IP
- If IP address is 192.168.xxx.xxx then ping getway IP address
(usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
- If IP address is 169.168.xxx.xxx then: ipconfig/release_all,
ipconfig/renew
- Ipconfig/flushdns
- CMD (run as admin)> Netsh winsock reset
- CMD WinsockXPFix (for win XP only) on any other computer you may
have and the file after copuing to a flash drive
- Renppt, if problem still persists then go to next step

3. Check internet in safe mode with networking, if works fine then
disable/ remove internet problem still persists then go to next step

4. Start> run >ncpa.cpl check LAN/ Wireless connection status (cable
unplugged, disabled), if problem still persists then go to next step

5. If required uninstall & reinstall LAN/Wireless drivers from device
manager>network adapters

6. If all configuration is fine then perform a system restore after
confirming the last day of operation
7. If everything fails, Then do Full PC/ System recovery to factor defaults
